Guy Blelloch received the inaugural Parallel Computing Award at the Association for Computing Machinery’s Symposium on Parallelism in Algorithms and Architectures.

Guy Blelloch, a professor in the Computer Science Department, received the inaugural Parallel Computing Award at the Association for Computing Machinery’s Symposium on Parallelism in Algorithms and Architectures (ACM SPAA).

The SPAA Parallel Computing Award recognizes people for either a career of accomplishments or a singular important result in the field. Blelloch's research has focused on the interaction of algorithms and programming languages, much of it in the area of parallel computing.
