OurCS: Diversity in Tech (Day 2)

— 3:30pm

Speaker:
A Virtual Conference for Undergraduates in Computer Science

Organized by Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science and sponsored by Google. This conference, 2 half days of research-focused workshops, aims to create a more diverse community of researchers in computing. Undergraduate students currently enrolled in computer science programs in the United States are encouraged to explore research. Students will work on exploratory problems in teams led by researchers from industry, academia and other computing related domains. Participants will be able to:

  • meet others who share their curiosity and interest in computer science
  • explore the research experience in computing related domains
  • work closely with researchers
  • work in a team to tackle a research problem
  • make a short presentation about your research
  • broaden understanding of the possibilities of graduate school and the application process

Workshop participants will have a chance to learn about life in graduate school from the perspectives of current graduate students. APPLY TODAY

This research conference is  open to undergraduate students from underrepresented groups who are US citizens and who are current undergraduate students in computing programs. Attendees will attend the conference virtually.
