Commencement 2023: CMU Main Ceremony

Schedule   9:00 - 10:00 am  —  Robing and Procession of Graduates 10:30 - 11:30 am  —  Commencement Ceremony, Gesling Stadium Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree candidates and their guests are invited to join the main commencement ceremony for the conferral of all degrees.
  • The main ceremony will include remarks from the President, Keynote Speaker, Student Speaker and Academic Deans, in addition to recognition of the Honorary Degree Recipients.
  • There is no limit on number of guests who can attend the main commencement ceremony and tickets are not needed.
  • The ceremony will take place on CMU’s campus and will be approximately 1.5 hours long.

  • Sunday, May 14 | 9:00 am | Undergraduate Candidates - Assemble in the Lobby, Gates Hall 5th Floor, Pausch Bridge Entry
  • Sunday, May 14 | 9:00 am | Masters Candidates - Assemble in the 5200 Corridor (Helix Side), Gates Hall 5th Floor Pausch Bridge Entry
  • Sunday, May 14 | 9:00 am | Ph.D. Candidates - Assemble in the Citadel Commons Study Area by the 5th Floor Pausch Bridge Entry
  • Sunday, May 14 | 9:00 am | Faculty - Assemble in the Danforth Lounge, Cohen University Center, 2nd Floor
