|
It is now possible to obtain large amounts of realistic human motions with motion capture technology. However, if one wants more expressive, cartoony motions they still need to turn to trained animators. In this thesis, we outline a method to add keyframed exaggerations to motion capture data with the use of character rigs. Along the way we introduce a motion transfer algorithm that turns joint angle motion data into a more animator friendly form. We also investigate whether warping and blending algorithms yield better results in the rig control representation or the rig joint angle representation, and we perform perception studies to evaluate our results.
